School Improvement Priorities 2018-19

As well as our strategic long-term planning for the school, St Paul's has the following Key Priorities for school improvement over the coming academic year:


Key Priority One

Attainment / Teaching & Learning

Further improve the quality of teaching and the rate of pupils progress by:

  • providing all groups with challenging work
  • opportunities across the curriculum to practice English and maths skills
  • embedding 'Maths No Problem' scheme
  • ensuring writing attainment is consistent across school
  • pupils reading more widely and fluently
  • providing pupils with more opportunities to develop speaking skills
  • ensuring feedback and marking is swift and purposeful
  • improving accuracy of teacher assessment
  • providing high quality homework



Key Priority Two

Leadership and Management

Increase the impact of leaders and managers at all levels on school improvement by:

  • Subject Leaders further embed their role in driving forward improvements
  • Pupil Premium funding rigorously assessed for impact
  • ensuring the Curriculum is personalised 
  • EYFS leaders engaging parents in their child's learning and assessment
