Welcome to Year 2. It's the start of Summer 2 and we have a lot of exciting things to look forward to. 

Our topic this half term will be 'Buckets and Spades'. 

Reminders

• Weekly spelling tests will take place every Friday. Please ensure spellings are practiced at home as spelling dojos will be up for grabs. 
• Homework will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned by the following Wednesday. Please ensure homework is completed to a high standard and that your child's homework book is in school on the Wednesday. 
• Please listen to your child read every day to keep up and develop their reading skills. When listening to your child please ask them questions about the book and encourage them to use different voices for characters in stories. 
• This half term PE will be on a Wednesday and Friday. Your child's PE kit should remain in school throughout the half term. Please ensure earrings are not worn on PE days. On Wednesdays we will be using Rhyddings field so please ensure that your child has trainers in school. 

• Make sure your child is here ON TIME everyday! Each week all of the children who have arrived on time everyday will be put in a draw to win hot chocolate and chat time with Mr Fielding and Mr Reidy. We are also working hard to build our Mr Potato Head to earn our extra playtime. If everyone is on time we will earn a piece.
