A Mysterious Day...

Year 6 planned and wrote scripts for a mystery story, ready to perform in the afternoon.  The children worked very hard to use their skills as a team and to keep their audience guessing by using a series of red-herrings and clues.

Year 6 have been inspired by the work of artist Liu Bolin and animal's camouflage.  As a result, they created a series of patterns using different media, culminating in a colourful piece of artwork.

Can you spot what has been hidden in the pictures?

Hide and Seek...

Year 6 went on a fascinating trip to Lancaster Maritime Museum.  There, they completed a range of experiments related to their theme 'Survival'.
One activity that caught the children's interest was the tsunami simulator.  Pupils built tsunami-proof buildings and tested them against the powerful waves.

Videos of our documentary to follow! (Slight technical difficulties- sorry!)

Getting the facts and reporting them fast!

Year Six have been practicing their data collection and response skills through precise questioning and interview skills this week.  Opinions were collated about forgiveness in RE and we were lucky enough to meet a range of celebrities whilst preparing to write biographical texts during English.

Year 6 are Adventurous Readers!
