Welcome to Year One!  In the first half of the Autumn Term we will be exploring Traditional Tales and learning more about Our World. Please see our class newsletter for more details.

Reminders

• PE kits are expected to remain in school all term; earrings should be removed on PE days. PE days will change each half-term, so keep checking back. This half-term PE will be on Thursdays and Fridays. 
• Weekly spelling tests will take place every Friday. Spellings relating to their phonics group will be sent home with their homework on Fridays. Please practice these spellings with your children at home.
• Homework will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned by the following Wednesday.
• Please read with your child every night in order to support their progress, encourage them to sound out each word and discuss the text with your child. The minimum expectation is that children read three times a week.
