Hi, my name is Gary Fielding and I am the Pupil Support Worker here at St. Paul's. I have spent the last 15 years working with children and young people in a variety of roles.
I spent almost 4 years with Children’s Social Care as a Residential Childcare Worker. I then spent 10 years at Rhyddings Business and Enterprise School, first as a Learning Mentor then on to Pastoral Head of Year. My wife and I are also foster carers.
I have a passion for supporting children and young people in valuing themselves and others, achieving their best individual outcomes and supporting parents/carers in that process.
My role supports with -
High School transition
Family circumstances that may affect your child
Well being support
Providing a listening ear/someone to talk to
Helping parents/carers via phone calls, informal chats or appointments
This list is not a definitive list however as every day is different and the role is always developing.
Please feel free to contact me via the school’s phone number if you feel I can help in any way,
Thank you, Mr Fielding.
