Welcome to Year 1

Class Teacher: Mrs E. Procter

Teaching Assistant: Miss T. Gallagher

Welcome back! We are looking forward to beginning a fun filled learning journey in Year One where we explore the continents, animals, plants and learn about 'The Great Fire of London' to name but a few of our exciting topics.  Please see the documents below to see what we will be learning over the course of the year and make sure that you pay this page a visit regularly for updates about what we have been up to.

  • PE is on Wednesday this half term. Your child's PE kit should remain in school throughout the half term. This should include both indoor and outdoor clothing.
  • Weekly spelling tests will take place every Friday, please ensure that your child practises these spellings every day.
  • Homework will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned by the following Wednesday.
  • Please read with your child every night in order to support their progress, encourage them to sound out each word and discuss the text with your child.

Thank you for your support smiley
