Meet The Year 2 Team!

Information about Year 2 and the school expectations

Welcome to Year 2! We are looking forward to starting a brand new year of fantastic learning. This year we will cover topic such as 'The place we live' and 'Buckets and Spades'. 



  • Weekly spelling tests will take place every Tuesday. Please ensure spellings are practiced at home as spelling dojos will be up for grabs. 
  • Homework will be sent home on a Friday and must be returned by the following Wednesday. Please ensure homework is completed to a high standard
  • Please listen to your child read every day to keep up and develop their reading skills.
  • This half term PE will be on a Friday. Your child's PE kit should remain in school throughout the half term. Please ensure earrings are not worn on PE days.
  • Any work that your child does at home will earn them a dojo point.

  • Each week, the class with the best attendance gets a chocolate cake.  Please send your child to school EVERY day!!!

  • Make sure your child is here ON TIME everyday! We want to collect the rainbow letters to complete Perfect Punctuality and get our prize as soon as we can.
