Picture News
We use Picture News as part of weekly worship by introducing the week’s Picture News story in Broadcast on Monday and continuing the discussion on a Tuesday during our Class Worship. The Picture News resources are designed to provide opportunities for children to learn from our world and develop respect for other’s beliefs, feelings and faiths. Worships encourage exploration, discussion, debate, questioning, challenge and inspire children to become more active global citizens.
They also offer additional opportunities for a meaningful and relevant link to British Values, Protected Characteristics, and develop links between personal, school and community values. The documents below are used with our children to explain British Values and Protected Characteristics and what these mean to them.
